‘Secure Banking’ training program

De Volksbank (SNS, ASN Bank and RegioBank) is helping its retail customers increase their cyber resilience with an online training course developed by Awareways. In this cinematic training, customers experience how they are approached by scammers.

As a participant, you follow the perspective of different movie characters. The interactive choices in each scenario determine whether the character is able to fend off the criminal.

This setup makes the experience personal and brings reality very close through self-made choices. The premiere was for customers of SNS, who find the training in their My environment of the bank. Customers of ASN Bank and RegioBank will follow.

The customer as the strongest link

Cybercrime has become a daily occurrence,” says Sanne van Denderen, Secure Banking Manager at Volksbank. “You stumble over fake text messages and fake emails and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish real from fake. But criminals often use the same tricks to mislead people.”

“In this interactive training, customers can personally experience in a safe environment how criminals operate and practice ways in which you can then respond,” said Mr. Hubbard.

“We hope customers find this as neat as we do. With this training, we increase resilience and strengthen our customer’s role as a strong link in the fight against cybercrime. ”

We can also develop a customized training program for your organization.

Successful partnership

For the internal security awareness training of its own staff, the Volksbank has been working with Awareways for some time. “It’s a very positive development that de Volksbank is really taking on this social responsibility,” says Geertje Veenbergen, director of Awareways. “We are proud to be able to contribute to this.”

“The bank is taking the lead in also making its customers aware of the vulnerability and value of information. By teaching them in an interactive and personal way to know and recognize daily security risks, and to deal with them in the right way.”

Security Awareness Training

Worried that cybercriminals have a high chance of success with your employees? Afraid that they will click on a wrong e-mail in good faith, or fail to expose a social engineer? Worried that the AVG is not always complied with because of limited awareness of the privacy laws and implications? The Security Awareness Training of Awareways helps to make information security the new standard.

This means that employees themselves take responsibility in the field of information security, show the right behavior regarding (cyber) risks, and proactively ask for advice. In other words, not an extra obligation or a new tick in the compliance category, but a crucial part of professional work.

Of course we can also develop a consumer training program for your organization. Contact us for the possibilities!
