AWAREWAYS is a young and innovative company within the security and privacy world with renowned international clients such as Heineken, Unilever and Allianz.

Due to our rapid growth, we are looking to strengthen our team of data analysts. Our R&D department is made up of of young professionals with diverse backgrounds, including mathematics, data science and even particle- and astrophysics(!). Within this department we process data from our phishing simulations, security awareness programs and questionnaires into comprehensive reports to raise awareness of cybercrime.

That’s great, but… what would my day look like?

Start off your day

Around 9 o’clock you arrive at the office. You grab a cup of coffee and briefly chat with some colleagues. Then you start planning your day, or perhaps you have an early meeting with one of our program managers. What is going on with his clients and what is needed?

Next up is your work on the report of all current campaigns of the party in question. You start with an analysis of the data; is there anything unusual? Based on your analytical skills and your feeling for (the value of) data, you find several things that strike you, so you discuss them with your colleagues. It provides new insights for your reporting and, more importantly, opportunities to improve the chosen approach for this particular customer.

You process these insights combined with all the new functionalities in the current script and spin out the results. A productive day, already!

Lunch time = time to log off and catch up. Every day, a colleague makes a fresh salad. Is the sun out? Then we can have our break on the roof terrace!

After lunch, you have a team meeting, focusing on one particular question: how can we further improve the current reports and the corresponding feedbacks to both the program manager and the client?

You propose a new strategy to effectively analyze the data.

The team also looks at practical matters, such as the design of tables and graphs. Filtering valuable, relevant information from the data is one thing, but it must also be presented clearly and concisely.

From the consultation, you put the finishing touches on the day’s report. You let the program manager know that it is finished and where the results can be found, or perhaps there’s time to discuss them together. Then you have a number of to do’s and it is already five o’clock. You pack up your things and drive through the pleasant neighborhoods of Utrecht on your way home or back to the train station.

Who fits the bill
