Awareways SMS phishing training
The SMS phishing simulations do not focus on clicking behavior or punishing employees who fall for the attack. Each simulation focuses on training employees to recognize different attack vectors. The tone of communication is focused on increasing awareness and increasing knowledge. In this way, you improve the resilience of your organization.
How it works
All employees receive multiple training text messages with an educational landing page where they learn how to recognize these messages.
In our approach, we work with the following tactics:
- within the simulation, we work with A/B testing (personalized vs. generic);
- we use relevant and recent threat examples;
- we apply ‘priming’ to see the effect on click behavior.
Does ‘priming’ influence the click behavior of employees?
A commonly used method in marketing, among other things, is ‘priming’ (prior influencing). The employee receives ‘prior communication’ announcing an important message.
A text message is used to announce an e-mail about organizational changes. We measure whether this approach affects click behavior.
Choose a ‘single simulation’ or ‘multichannel simulation’
From simulations, employees are tested on their ability to recognize the risks of various methods of attack. Each simulation is aimed at training employees and not punishing them. We increase resilience and click rates are secondary.
All simulations can be used individually within behavior change programs, or combined in a broader strategy combining, for example, phishing, vishing and smishing.
