Connection between Neuroscience and Cybersecurity
Meet Tessa, a master’s student in Neuroscience & Cognition, and a true bridge builder between how our brain works and how we keep our online world secure. Her journey began in the realm of language and human behavior. Captivated by emotions and social dynamics, she embarked on her academic adventure in linguistics. “I was very intrigued by questions like: How does language reflect our thinking? And how do we use communication to influence each other?” However, language soon proved insufficient for Tessa. She decided to expand her educational path. Her interest shifted towards the complexity of the human brain and cognitive processes, where emotions and behavior take root in neural networks.
The approach of Awareways aligns well with her interests. “What appeals to me about Awareways is how they approach the increasingly relevant topic of cybersecurity from a human perspective.” She shares the belief that human behavior is measurable and influenceable, which seamlessly connects with her academic focus and the core principle of Awareways. As a project supporter, she assists in various projects and with clients. Additionally, she directly applies her acquired knowledge and expertise to the field of social psychology. She contributes significantly to the development and optimization of the Awareways culture scan.
