Back from his journey! During his master’s degree in Social Psychology at Utrecht University, Sjoerd joined us. On behalf of Awareways, he conducted research on the maturity levels of information security in dozens of organizations. He graduated with flying colors and decided to fulfill his dream with a beautiful trip through South and Central America.

Now back in the Netherlands, we welcome him again at Awareways. As part of the Data N’ Analyst team, Sjoerd applies his background in psychology to look at various data in a new way. He explores new ways to map and analyze behavior around phishing, for example. Sjoerd is also actively involved in the ongoing development of the culture scan survey. Here he thinks about scientific innovation, identifying different target groups, and presenting results in a targeted way.

Lotte is in the process of completing her double bachelor’s degree in Econometrics and Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her educational journey began at an international high school where she obtained her IB diploma. “I always enjoyed all the subjects, from history to physics. So, making a study choice was not easy.” Now that her studies are almost finished, Lotte is sure of her choice. She finds econometrics and the technical side of economics the most enjoyable. She found it fascinating to analyze and solve societal problems. “Secretly, I actually enjoy solving difficult problems the most.” It’s no wonder she’s going to pursue a master’s degree in Analytics and Operations Research in Logistics.

Lotte recently joined Awareways. It is a perfect fit for her interests. Awareways provides her with the opportunity to use her analytical thinking skills while having a real impact on society. As part of the Data N’ Analyst team, she helps with operational tasks such as report creation. Her combination of analytical skills and a passion for social impact is a fantastic combination that can bring about important changes.

Xavier, a 20-year-old Security Management student from Barneveld, has a great passion for the field. “I have always been interested in preventing criminal activities and minimizing the damage in case of an incident or calamity.” He is currently in his third year at Saxion in Apeldoorn and has gained extensive knowledge about cybersecurity. During his internship at a corporate investigation agency, he drafted a security plan for an SME. “This plan included a risk analysis, mystery shopping, red team exercises, and a Proactive Security Workshop.”

With this experience and knowledge, he is ready to support the corporate world in preventing fraud, theft, cybercrime, and terrorism. Xavier has joined Awareways as a project assistant and is also working as a security advisor for a large retail company, where he advises on product security and organizes exercises to test vulnerabilities. Xavier is convinced that his experience and knowledge can contribute to improving the information security of any business.

Meet Lieke, a third-year Human Resource Management student at the Hogeschool Utrecht. She recently completed the minor ‘Inspired Employees, Healthy Organization’ with a passing grade. As she moves forward in her career, she is eager to take on new challenges and gain practical experience. For the next four and a half months, she will be working at Awareways as a junior HR business partner.

In her second year, Lieke completed an internship at a recruitment company in Maastricht, where she continued to work as a marketing assistant. She believes her previous work experience will help her in her new role. ‘My experience in recruitment has given me a unique perspective that I can apply in my work at Awareways.’ Lieke is excited to expand her knowledge and skills by working at a company that is significantly different from the recruitment industry.
